To activate the smartlock, place your whole palm of your hand over the black part of the keypad, NOT JUST YOUR FINGERS. Once you place your palm on it, you will need to push with some force for the Keypad to activate.
NB: Check Smartlock is Locked It is important that when leaving the apartment to go out, that you check the smartlock has engaged, this is done once the door is closed behind you by turning the knob left and right and making sure the apartment is secure.
